Lincoln Park Zoo Engagement Session
Ryan & Dory had booked their wedding and wanted to also take engagement photos prior to their big day. They chose the Lincoln Park Zoo as their engagement photography spot! This is one of my most ideal location recommendation for engagement photography in Chicago because there are so many picturesque spots. When the day for the session rolled around it was a pretty foggy day in Chicago, but it didn’t matter; their Lincoln Park Zoo engagement session turned out wonderfully! Luckily there was no rain in sight either, so overall it was a really nice day. The cloudy overcast really helped bring out the beautiful tones at the Lincoln Park Zoo.
During their Lincoln Park Zoo engagement session we took a walk through the park, with our first stop being near the entrance. There are these beautiful rock staircase and facade with a bridge-type overpass. I absolutely love the green vines wrapping themselves around the rock, providing a very pretty and bright contrast among the grey stone. We made our way into the Lincoln Park Zoo and walked along the path among the greenery. There were plenty of plants sprouting a lots beautiful colors to complement their Lincoln Park engagement photographs. We took some photos along the bridge. There usually would be a view of some of the Chicago buildings along the horizon, but you cannot see much due to the fog. Even still, the haze provided a very gentle and romantic compliment that you can see in the black at white photos. We continued on to the iconic Lincoln Park Zoo Hive, which is featured towards the last few engagement photographs of the bunch, as well as in the featured photo. Take a look at all the photos from their Lincoln Park Zoo engagement session!
