Marykate & John | St. Christina Church Wedding
I wanted to share some photos from a beautiful wedding ceremony at the St. Christina Parish in Chicago, Illinois. The bride and groom, Marykate & John, had the warmest Catholic ceremony at St. Christina’s church. The day started with me photographing the bride getting ready at her family home, a few miles away from the church. It was so fun to get the candid shots of the bridesmaids who were also getting ready there, and everyone’s happy interactions.
After Marykate and the bridemaids were ready to head to the wedding ceremony at St. Christina’s Church, a trolley came to take the wedding party there, and Marykate rode in a limo with her parents for some family time along the way.
While the bride & bridesmaid’s went into a seperate quarter to hang out before the ceremony began, I checked in on the groom & groomsmen to capture some shots of them getting ready. The men got ready inside St. Christina’s Church so it was fun to get some candid photographs of them.
Soon after it was time for the wedding ceremony to begin. Everyone was so excited for the wedding to start, including myself! Just look at the smiles on the flower girl’s! The wedding ceremony was a very traditional Catholic ceremony with all the care taken in for the details. These are only a snapshop of the wedding ceremony proceedings.
I hope you liked the candid photojournalism style of the wedding photographs taken during the ceremony at St. Christina’s Church in Chicago and beyond! It was truly a pleasure to be a part of this special day! If you have any questions about feel free to reach out to poe@poephotography.com.
